By partnering with Venture House, people who are experiencing the strain brought by unemployment are more capable of finding and keeping a valuable job. We serve those who have been referred to us by the Kansas Department of Children & Families (DCF). Our clients are those who are receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), or are needing Vocational Rehabilitation.
Through careful planning and a strategy which is deeply involved in an individual's job search process, Venture House helps job seekers search, receive, and maintain meaningful and long-term employment. Employment search tools we use include: action plans resume writing, job market navigation, clothing referrals, interview preparation and skills assessments. Even after our clients find employment, we follow their progress for at least 1 year to ensure continued success.
We are proud to partner with DCF to offer a location for their GOALS (Generating Opportunities to Attain Lifelong Success) program. GOALS is for people living in Kansas and currently receiving food assistance through the SNAP program, who need training and support to find a job.
