Kindness Moves Me is a theme for living, every day of our lives. On August 18th, we'll celebrate individual victories and raise awareness of the challenging journey one faces when living with mental illness. We'll encourage others who are making a leap of faith from poverty to a sustainable future for themselves an their familes. Every contribution, every story, every person that participates is taking a 'step' toward our shared goal to help those who have so few resources of their own.
Specifically, the Walk is a 1-mile, family-oriented event (bring the kids, dogs, and friends) on August 18th to raise much needed funds for Episcopal Social Services (ESS) programs, including the Breakthrough Club. The event will be held at Sedgwick County Park, Plum Shelter (next to the Boundless Playground) with 8 am registration and 9 am walk. We will be celebrating ESS’ 35th Anniversary at the end of the walk with cake.
Team captains raise funds by:
- sharing their profile page on social media
- collecting donations in their packet
- bringing friends to the event
